Wynberg career exhibition draws large crowd of Grade 12 learners

02 September 2025

Last week Thursday, 28 August 2025, the City of Cape Town warmly welcomed Grade 12 learners from all Secondary Schools in Ward 63 at the Wynberg Civic Centre. The learners had the opportunity to engage with 40 exhibitors on career paths, further study options and employment opportunities.

‘I would like to thank Councillor Carmen Siebritz as well as the organising committee for ensuring that this Wynberg career exhibition happened and thereby affording us the opportunity to make a real difference in helping young people make informed choices about their futures. I would also like to encourage learners and job seekers in general to keep regular tabs on the City’s website; particularly the ‘find a job’ section to view the latest advertisements and internship opportunities. The City has strategically positioned itself as a ‘City of Hope’ and our Graduate Internship Programme is one of the many ways we aim to develop future capabilities to deliver services to our communities in a way that is collaborative, innovative and progressive,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
